In principle, intellectual property rights intend to promote creative and technological progress, to the ultimate benefit of consumers, by striking balances between over- and underprotection of their creator's efforts.
On this web site, you will retrieve information on the application, enforcement and exploitation of the most well-know types of intellectual property rights, namely patents, trademarks, designs, and copyright. Furthermore, a collection of national, international and supranational laws, regulations and treaties has been included here, as well as some relevant case-law on certain topics.
